How do I start freelancing?
Whew, that’s a loaded question, but the best advice is to just start. If you want to be a freelance writer, start a blog. If you want to be a freelance graphic designer, start designing and sharing your work. Just start. You can learn more about my freelancing journey from this post.
How much do you charge?
It depends. My charges for writing and editing:
- B2B SEO blog posts start at $750 per post for 1000-1250 words and I charge an additional 20% for ghostwritten content
- Editing services start at $60/hour
- For content strategy, it depends on the scope of work, so please reach out if you need help getting your site off the ground, working through SEO, and/or developing a site-wide style guide.
What do your content writing rates cover?
When you hire me to write or edit content, you’re paying for my expertise and skills. I research the topic as well as competing sites, adhere to your content brief, include relevant internal and external links, ensure keyword integration (not stuffing), interview experts as needed, and proofread and copyedit my work before submission. I offer one round of edits for all submitted articles.
What payment methods do you accept?
Transferwise, wire transfer, and PayPal 🙂
Do you also edit books?
Not at this time. After a year of working on book content, I realized that I prefer writing and editing online content. But who knows? Maybe I’ll be back soon — after all, all writing is storytelling.
Are you taking on long-term clients?
I love freelancing with long-term clients — and content marketing agencies. I currently have availability and would be willing to chat about your project.
